Samantha: da Sex & the City a Desperate Housewives

Kim Cattral passa da un successo all’altro. Dopo aver interpretato la spregiudicata Samantha Jones in Sex & the City, l’attrice entra nel cast della seconda serie di Desperate Housewives (dal 13 febbraio su Fox Life e, per chi non avesse Sky, a settembre in replica su RaiDue). L’attrice avrà ancora una volta un ruolo sexy e disinibito e arriverà a portare scompiglio nella tranquilla (si fa per dire!) Wisteria Lane nelle vesti della sorella di Edie Britt (Nicolette Sheridan). Proprio alle vicende del personaggio di Edie, nato per ricoprire un ruolo secondario rispetto alle quattro protagoniste, gli autori hanno deciso di dare maggiore spazio nella seconda serie del telefilm. E con una spalla d’eccezione come Kim Cattrall i colpi di scena saranno assicurati!

    Direi che la scelta di rafforzare il personaggio di Edie sia la più azzeccata, e quindi il supporto dell’ipotetica sorella della mangia-uomini di Wisteria Lane è interessante perchè distoglierebbe dall’eccessiva impronta di mistero che attanagliava la fine della prima serie. Staremo a vedere.

    Sono d’accordo anche perchè Edie è un personaggio frizzante che sdrammatizza molto la piega di tensione che stanno prendendo gli episodi. E poi senza l’eterna rivalità con Edie il personaggio di Susan non sarebbe lo stesso.
